Mr. Toshiaki Higashihara is President & CEO of Hitachi, Ltd. and his career with Hitachi can be traced back to 1977, when he first joined the company. He has extensive experience in areas such as Transportation Systems Design, Public Utility, Energy Industry information Systems, Information & Control Systems. In 2006, he served as Corporate Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Information & Telecommunication Systems Group before taking on the role of Vice President and Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Power Systems Group, Hitachi, Ltd. in 2007.
His experience is not limited to Japan as he also managed overseas markets as President of Hitachi Power Europe GmbH in Germany for two years since 2008. After his return to Japan in 2010, he became President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Plant Technologies, Ltd., where he continued to serve as President and Representative Director in 2011. In 2011 and 2012, he oversaw the Industrial & Social Systems Business and Infrastructure Systems Group of Hitachi, Ltd. respectively as Vice President and Executive Officer. Prior to his position as CEO, he was appointed President & COO in 2014. Mr. Higashihara holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Tokushima University as well as Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University.

Mr. Kojin Nakakita is Chairman of Hitachi Asia Ltd. and Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd., responsible for Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business incubation and expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Nakakita began his career with Hitachi in 1988 in the Heavy Industry Department, Headquarters Sales Office. Over the years, he has accumulated vast experience in social infrastructure business development, particularly in the water treatment, smart cities and heavy industry equipment industries.
In 2002, he served as Manager of the Security Systems Department, Industrial Plant Sales Division, Industrial Systems Sales Operation Group, Power & Industrial Systems Group. He was promoted to General Manager of the Environmental Energy Equipment Department, Industrial Solutions Sales Division, Sales & Marketing Division, Industrial Systems Group in 2009.
A year later, he became General Manager of the Global Project Department, Global Project Office, Sales & Marketing Division, Industrial and Social Infrastructure Systems Company. In 2014, he moved to Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. as Deputy Managing Director.
Mr. Nakakita graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the United States International University.

As Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd., Mr. Kosuke Horiuchi is responsible to grow and expand Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business across the ASEAN region.
Prior to his current position, he was Deputy Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd. and had been actively developing and promoting Hitachi's business, particularly in the area of global IT sector for financial institutions.
Mr. Horiuchi started his career in Hitachi in 1989 right after graduating from university, and first joined the Information & Telecommunication Systems Company. He had accumulated around 25 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the field of financial systems across various financial institutions, including insurance, security firms and banks.
Before joining Hitachi Asia, he had served as General Manager, Financial Solution Sales Unit 1 of Financial Information Systems Sales Management Division, Information and Telecommunication Systems Company, Hitachi, Ltd., to develop and promote IT solutions for banks.
Mr. Horiuchi graduated in 1989 from Tokyo’s Keio University, Faculty of Law.

Mr. Koji Tomita is Deputy Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd., responsible to actively develop and promote Hitachi's Social Innovation Businesses.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Tomita served as Senior Director of Collaborative Business Creation Division, Hitachi, Ltd.
He started his career with Hitachi’s Omika Works in 1992 as an Engineer. After being promoted to Senior Engineer at the Transportation Control Systems Department in 2004, he has since held various managerial positions within the Hitachi Group and accumulated much experience in transportation and information control systems.
In 2008, Mr. Tomita was Department Manager of ATOS Center, Autonomous Decentralized Transportation Operation Control System Research & Development Center. In 2013, he served as Senior Director of Information Control System Division in Hitachi Europe Ltd.
Mr. Tomita graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Osaka University.
Managing Director of Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co.,Ltd
Mr. Kodama started his career with Hitachi, Ltd. in 1988. Today, he is the Managing Director of Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co.,Ltd; mainly responsible for leading the growth in operations and expansion of Hitachi’s Social Innovation Businesses across Thailand. Through his tenure as a talent of Hitachi, He undertook various roles namely, Department Manager of the Global Business Planning & Operations Division (2010), Senior Vice President and member of the executive committee of Hitachi Vantara in Santa Clara (2011-2014), General Manager of the Global Management and Strategy Planning Division (2015) and a board member of Hitachi Consulting Corporation(2016). Through it, Mr. Kodama has cultivated a wealth of business experience in strategy planning across global markets, including sectors such as information and telecommunications, as well as data systems.
Senior Executive Vice President, Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa)
Dr. Passakon Prathombutr graduated the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Software architecture and Computer networking from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He has been working as a researcher at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Thailand since 1992. In NECTEC he was the director of Next Generation Internet Laboratory, the director of Intelligent Transport System program and the director of Information Communications and Computing Research Unit. He then moved to serve as the director of the Service & Data Innovation program at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). Besides, he was the president of Thai Intelligent Transport System (ITS) association or ITS Thailand, and he was the co-founder of Thailand IPv6 association, Thai Intelligent Traffic Information Center Foundation (iTIC) and the CCTV Consortium. At present, he is the chair of CCTV Consortium, the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Intelligent Transportation System Research, Springer and the senior executive vice president of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa).
Healthcare Executive of C.P. Group and Executive Committee Member of Thai Medical Informatics Association (TMI)
Dr. Chamaree Chuapetcharasopon is currently a Healthcare Executive at Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. After finishing her medical school and residency training at Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand, she continued her fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Body Imaging at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Texas, USA. She joined Bumrungrad International Hospital as Chief of Radiology Department in 2001 where she implemented the first total digital radiology department in Thailand. Under her leadership as a medical director ( 2008 - 2012 ), Bumrungrad International received its fourth Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2011; breaking records by achieving the highest score in the hospital's history. Dr. Chuapetcharasopon firmly believes that medical administration must not come at the sacrifice of medical knowledge. Therefore, she continues to be actively involved in National Professional Organisations domestically and internationally; giving lectures based on her knowledge in Radiology, Medical Informatics and Leadership. In her involvement in the National and International Professional Organisations, she took on various roles, some of which includes being the President of the Thai Medical Women’s Association, under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen ( 2012 - 2014 ), President of the Radiological Society of Thailand ( 2015 - 2018 ). Dr. Chuapetcharasopon is currently the Treasurer of Thai Medical Informatics Association, Honorary Treasurer of Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR) and part of the Member Committee of International Radiology Education of Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) ( 2013 - 2019 ) where she was awarded honorary membership in 2015 when RSNA celebrated its 101st anniversary.

Lena currently acts as the Chief Investment Officer for Amata Corporation Public Company Ltd and oversees strategic investments, mergers & acquisitions and Smart Cities development. She is also the Director of Amata Global Pte Ltd in Singapore. Lena was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in March 2014 and nominated as a Global Agenda Council Member of World Economic Forum.
Prior to her current appointments, she was also the Chairperson (Audit Committee) and Board Member of the Singapore National Paralympic Council. Ms. Ng was a former Singapore Diplomat (Commercial Attaché) based in Thailand and Director (ICT)/Green Programme Office of IE Singapore, an agency under Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry. With more than 20 years of public policy and international investment, Lena’s expertise has been tapped for developing key Nation-wide masterplan and G-to-G collaboration platforms. These include Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Economic Relationship (STEER), Singapore-Tianjin Eco-city FDI Promotion, Singapore-Guangzhou Knowledge City FDI Promotion, Singapore-World Bank Infrastructure Collaboration, APEC E- Commerce Taskforce and Singapore Logistics Masterplan.
Lena is an experienced speaker and judge with past participation in many international forums such as World Economic Forum, World Bank Conference, Asia Development Bank Infrastructure Forum, Asia Industrial Estates Forum, Mobile World Congress (Barcelona). Lena started her career with leading international firms such as Standard Chartered Bank, British Telecoms Services (Asia Pacific) and Creative Labs (United States/Asia).
Lena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) from National University of Singapore. She has also completed her Executive MBA, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Harvard Global Leadership Programme and Oxford Said Transformational Leadership Programme. Lena speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Thai and basic Korean.

Mr. Andrew Hamilton, a veteran in infrastructure program management and management consulting, is now a Global Client Partner for Hitachi Consulting. With over 25 years of project experience, with vendors and management consulting firms in SEA, India and China, Mr. Andrew Hamilton is well equipped to provide project support and industry expertise for Hitachi’s social innovation projects. He currently leads Social Innovation and Smart Urban for Hitachi Consulting APAC including the team that has recently delivered the Smart City Services Blue Print for a 3.5 Billion USD. 1.8 Million SQM Mixed use development in ASEAN. Prior to this role, Mr. Andrew Hamilton was Head of Operational Consulting and Telecom Lead (2010-2012), PwC, Founding Senior Partner of Grant Thornton Consulting (2005-2010) and Director of SEA, Bearinging Point (formerly KPMG Consulting) (2001-2005) to name a few.
